Clarity Medicine is not part of the NHS and provides private medical services only.
2. Scope of Services
Clarity Medicine provides the following private medical services:

DVLA D4 / Taxi / Private Hire / HGV Medical Examinations

Medical Letters & Certificates (including sick notes, fitness-to-work letters, and specialist certificates)

Clinical Trial Search & Navigation Support

Medical Explanation & Second-Opinion Style Reviews
-
Private Prescriptions & Prescription Reviews (case-by-case)
Each service is provided independently and subject to clinical discretion.
3. Nature of the Medical Relationship
By using Clarity Medicine services, you acknowledge that:

This is a private consultation, not NHS care

We do not replace your GP or NHS specialist
-
You remain responsible for ongoing care through your GP or NHS where appropriate
-
We may advise GP or emergency follow-up where clinically indicated
4. Appointments, Consultations & Assessments
4.1 Remote Consultations
Some services are provided via:

Online questionnaires

Telephone consultations
-
Video consultations
Remote consultations are conducted in accordance with GMC guidance on remote prescribing and consultations.
4.2 In-Person Consultations
Certain services (e.g. DVLA D4 medicals) require in-person examination. You must attend with required documentation.
5. Medical Judgement & Clinical Discretion
All services are subject to clinical assessment and professional judgement.
We reserve the right to:

Decline to provide a letter, certificate, prescription, or opinion

Limit the duration or scope of any document issued

Recommend further assessment or NHS referral
A request or payment does not guarantee issuance of a document or prescription.
6. Prescriptions (Private)
6.1 General Principles
Private prescriptions are issued:

On a case-by-case basis

Following clinical assessment

In line with GMC prescribing guidance
We do not prescribe controlled drugs, high-risk medications, or medications where safe prescribing cannot be assured remotely.
6.2 Refund Policy for Prescriptions
If, following assessment, prescribing is deemed not appropriate, a full refund will be issued.
7. Medical Letters, Certificates & Sick Notes
Medical letters and certificates:

Reflect the clinical assessment at the time of consultation

Are based on information provided by the patient and clinical judgement

Cannot be backdated except where permitted by professional guidance
We do not guarantee acceptance by employers, insurers, councils, DVLA, or third parties.
8. DVLA / Taxi / Private Hire Medicals
8.1 Responsibility

The medical examination reflects findings on the day of assessment

Medical history is based on patient declaration

Final licensing decisions rest solely with DVLA or the licensing authority
8.2 Failed Criteria
If examination findings or history do not meet required standards:

Findings will be accurately recorded

We cannot alter or omit clinical information

Fees remain payable as the service has been delivered
9. Clinical Trial Search & Medical Information Services
These services:

Provide information and guidance only
-
Do not guarantee trial eligibility or enrolment

Do not replace advice from treating clinicians or trial investigators
10. Fees, Payments & Refunds
10.1 Fees

Fees are displayed clearly on the website

All fees are for private services

Prices may change without notice
10.2 Refunds
Refunds may be issued when:

A service cannot be provided

Prescribing or certification is clinically inappropriate
Refunds are not provided for:

Completed consultations

Issued documents

Completed medical examinations
11. Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing:

Accurate personal details

Complete medical history

Honest responses
Providing false or misleading information may invalidate documents issued and may result in refusal of service.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Clarity Medicine is not liable for decisions made by third parties

We are not responsible for delays or refusals by DVLA, councils, employers, insurers, or trial sponsors

Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the service
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
